Reporting abuse
To report spam, impersonation, illegal content or other abuse by an ID hosted on poweur.net, write to [email protected] or message support.poweur.net. Include the ID (for example name.poweur.net), what happened and when, and any links. You can also block the ID in the app. From the CLI, poweur report sends a signed report that carries message IDs, never message contents.
We can't read end-to-end encrypted messages, so we act on what you show us and on what is public. IDs on other relays are the responsibility of their operators. Their ID document names the relay that hosts them.
Reporting a vulnerability
Please email [email protected] with the details and, if you can, steps to reproduce. Don't open a public GitHub issue for a security problem. We'll acknowledge your report within a few days, keep you updated, and credit you once it's fixed, if you'd like. Good-faith research that avoids other people's data and doesn't disrupt the service is welcome, and we won't pursue it legally. Poweur is pre-1.0 and has not had an independent audit yet. Machine-readable details are in security.txt.
Complaints and consumer disputes
Tell us first, and we'll try to sort it out. You can also use the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico (Portugal's official complaints book). For consumer disputes, the alternative dispute resolution body is CNIACC – Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo. More information on consumer dispute resolution is at consumidor.gov.pt.
